The Blues just didn't have the energy to beat The Bruins without 2 of their best scoring forwards. They would have had to win a lot more of the physical battles to keep Boston off the board, and have more puck possession to get more and better shots. They lacked energy, and couldn't keep the puck on their sticks,, made too many bad passes, and couldn't keep up with The Bruins to defend against them. Those are bad combinations that, together, lead to losses.
