Slow loading

I'm aware the site is slow to load today. Not sure what the issue is, as I have changed nothing in the last day. Also hearing some folks are having issues accessing it at all, at least intermittently. I'm assuming CloudFlare is having issues, which is a much more global problem than this site. If it continues, there are changes I can make, it will just cost a bit more money, so I'm giving it a day. If it's still shit tomorrow, I'll enable some other load protections.

Just wanted to add these here for visibility. Unsure if it's related to the site issue.

I need help from anyone here who is also a member of Blues News Forum, to contact their administrator, T.C. to get him to e-mail me to restore my access to their website. I've been banned and treated like I'm a non-Human digital virus or spammer, and I don't even have access to their Website contact page and e-maill address. T.C. hould have my e-mail address from when I registered. I use the same user name (Robb_K) there too. Any help would be appreciated. I think a non-member (without my Ukranian IP address) would have access to their main page with their contact address, and could relay my message using the "contact" button. Any help will be appreciated.

For me, this visit was significantly quicker. Nearly immediate loading. But when I did the preview of this post, it was a bit slower.

Trying a few other things. Please let me know your experience - better, worse, still shitty, whatever - and if you’re outside the US, where. I feel like it’s better today.

And when I tell you it’s because we’re getting hammered, this is what I mean:

Obviously not much for a huge site, but for us, that’s ridiculous. Mostly southeast Asia. Not sure why we get looped into their bullshit, but here we are. So I have to enable some protections to help mitigate essentially a DDoS.

I’m going to re-sticky this so hopefully people provide more feedback.

The speed seems better today. Not up to what I'm used to, but definitely better than it was.

Are most of those "visitors" to the site bots? I don't know enough to know if there's a simple solution to blocking/restricting bot activity. I realize they can be used for good, but seems like most of those aren't being at all helpful.

EDIT TO ADD: For the record, I see me and 72 visitors right now (9:50am 4/4/2026)

Maybe you haven't heard, but the Blues are huge in Thailand. This board is growing, excited to get my cut of the ad revenue.

Haha. I'm in southeast Asia so don't ban the region.

The loading speed is noticeably better now.

Today, at least for me, this site has been really slow to load. Only showing 31 guests as well as myself here in this forum. But, it's taking 15 seconds or more for each page to load. Sometimes way over 30 seconds. If it's just me, sorry to bother you.

sorry, wasn't around over the weekend, just now seeing this. site wasn't loading at all for me this morning, kept getting 500 errors. took a look and i'm getting like 90k page requests per hour, it's awful. getting hammered by Singapore again. so i turned on some extra protection, which means you may see a Cloudflare page before the site loads. hopefully that's not too much of a pain in the ass. i'd rather have that and the site up during the playoffs than not at all. but let me know if it's an issue.

No issues at all with you using Cloudflare. Whatever you need to do to keep things running smoothly.

Thanks for everything you do T.C. to keep this site going. I really appreciate it. I'm sure others do as well.
