I think they realize they have a 1 year, maybe 2 year Ovi window. After that, doubt they care much.

Honestly, was looking at their forward group yesterday to see where Kyrou slots in for them and they actually have a very good crop of forwards. Especially on the wings. It's a perfect spot for Kyrou to flourish where he's in the 2nd/3rd line role.

I assume they match, but you've gotta love it. The Flyers have been wheeling and dealing so far this summer, and clearly part of it was to get business done early enough to take this shot. Even if the Ducks make them wait all 7 days, they've already gotten their homework done, they can wait it out.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Yeah, I was kind of hoping the Blues would be in the mix but realized we don’t have our pick unfortunately.

With the cap going up so much, and not slowing down, I wonder if this is going to be the new norm. Also, say you're Stenberg, McKenna or whatever...why not just play out your 3 year entry level deal and basically hit the open market knowing a team can offer you 20+.

In the grand scheme of it all, 4 late first round picks is a small price to pay for a superstar.
