If this team still sucks going into January then I'll start buying this shit, but it's still too early to do a panic deal & hit the reset button. That's just not Army's style.Ozzies09tc wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 8:30 amSending Binner AND a D-Man BETTER get more than "just skinner" otherwise Army is literally saying "fuck you" to Steen (I know he would never do that)
Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
102Cap wise, I have no idea how they would even make it work. Both teams are basically at the cap. Skinner only makes 2.6 million. Binnington and lets say Faulk make a combined over 12 million. No clue how the Blues would find another 10 million on the Oilers roster that they'd want to take back. Sure as hell better not be Nurse.Ozzies09tc wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 8:30 amSending Binner AND a D-Man BETTER get more than "just skinner" otherwise Army is literally saying "fuck you" to Steen (I know he would never do that)

Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
103LOL, the Blues are 2 points out of the last playoff spot. They’ve played more games than most teams, but man the standings are stupid this year. Imagine if they’d won any OT/shootout games.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
104Bad news. Snuggerud having wrist surgery and will be reevaluated in 6 weeks.
Also Torpo apparently burned his legs at home in an accident and will be listed out week to week. That's certainly a new one as far as injuries go.

106Yeah, severe burns on his legs. Could be as silly as spilling boiling water on himself to drunkenly falling into a bon fire. I don't put anything passed this team since the EJ golf cart episode.BluesSK wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 9:43 amI would love to know the details of that accident.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 9:06 am Bad news. 108This might force Army to give up this season and let the team TANK, naturally.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 9:06 am Bad news. Snuggerud having wrist surgery and will be reevaluated in 6 weeks.

Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
110Thomas was graded as a first round prospect by some, but wound up going in the middle of the second. He's only played 34 games in the NHL with the Kings, but he can skate and plays center.

Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
112Dang, the hits just keep on coming. And it's been Walker, Snuggerud, Neighbours...the guys who actually play well when they are on the ice. Feeling more and more like a lost season.
On the bright side, Hofer is giving me hope that IF the Blues do decide to trade Binner, he can step in.

Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
114I don't mind this at all. Thomas was a former WJC hero(in St Louis ironically enough for those that recall), never fully got a shot in LA.
Sound defensive forward, can hopefully try and fill in while Walker is out, although no one on this roster will replace the sandpiper Walker brings to the lineup

Re: Blues 2025 Season thread
121With all the injuries to forwards, we're going to get to watch Kaskimaki play for The Blues, earlier than expected. I'm looking forward to that. He's an high energy player, who's not averse to going to the net, and scores a decent amount of goals by doing that. He's not one to shy away from contact. This team needs more players like that. He seems to help out on the scoreboard more than his share when goals are really needed, too. Maybe he can get this team energized while Walker and Toropchenko are out.
I'm also looking forward to watching Akil Thomas, acquired from The Kings. He's fast, and likes to hit, and go to the net and hard places, and has unlimited energy (sort of like Walker). Nice to get these young energy/PK types, but we need to add skill in the form of natural goal scorers. I can't wait until Carbonneau joins The Blues in a year or 2.

122In bad seasons, even in good seasons its always exciting to get to watch someone new come into the team. Be it a prospect or via trade so I'm looking forward to seeing him.Robb_K wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 8:02 pm With all the injuries to forwards, we're going to get to watch Kaskimaki play for The Blues, earlier than expected.
