Put another way, they’d be dead last were it not for the loser point.
Nearly 30% of games are going to OT this year. So 3 out of 10 are basically being decided by 3 on 3 or a shootout with both teams getting points. They have to change the system up and not reward teams for not winning in regulation.

The NHL doesn't want to do that. Awarding the loser point makes sad sack teams think they have a shot at the playoffs and to keep the fan's interest up.

Blues are kind of in a weird spot. All the eyeball tests say this team is not good enough to make any sort of post season run and should be looking toward the coming years however the standings tell you they are 2 points out of a playoff spot.

If the Blues intend to trade Binner, it's certainly good that he plays better, but obviously the better he plays the more you win and then you're stuck in that hovering around a playoff spot.

He was still scoring goals last season. Was he available now because The Ducks had dropped him because of another serious injury near the end of last season, ore early this season? I doubt The Blues signing Dillon Dube to an AHL contract will help much. I hope Fabbri can help our scoring, not only while Snuggerud and Kyrou are out, but also after they return.

Also, kind of an unfair title to give Holloway as injury prone. He got hurt at the end of last season after playing 77 of the first 77 games and was one of 3 forwards that had not missed a game this season before this injury.

But Canadian media needs to make themselves feel better about that offer sheet and trying to shit on a guy who just had an unfortunate injury will play well to the dumbass Oiler fans who are trying to convince themselves Podkolzin is a better winger than Holloway.

He's no Scott Perunovich, that's for sure.

Which is why we are currently FIRST in line for The #1, overall, draft choice! Vive Le Tank!!!
Yeah, kind of an all offense no defense guy but we’ll take any offense we can get. Although I did see a Vrana comp ha

With a team save pct. of .875, and that was before the recent home game this week, that doesn’t help at all. And Fowler, I mean shit, he was playing like Bobby Orr for us last year. That’s a lot of offense we’re missing now since he’s taken off his Superman cape. So it’s like we’re minus an All Star defenseman now too. That and the injuries and the lousy special teams, I’m surprised they’re still in the WC hunt right now. The West sure is weak.
