Blues are in kind of a weird spot. Usually when you have a team playing this poorly and underachieving this much, people are calling for someone's job. But they aren't going to fire Army, he's stepping down anyway and Steen is already there. Monty isn't going anywhere. So what can you actually do?

Do you look to make a trade? It's a tough time in the season to pull off some big move if you're looking to break this core up. Kyrou would be the obvious one because it doesn't matter he's the teams leading point scorer and likely been their best player, a large swath of fans still hate him. But who around the league can just take on that contract right now salary cap wise.

It just feels like this team is stuck and going to have to figure it out with the group in place.

Wes, please ask if the goalies are about to start making saves. You have to use this power for good.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

He's been injured. Think this is there way of getting him back in game shape and seeing if he can be a call up or if he's completely toast. I'd take him over Texier as our extra forward at this point
If Dvorsky is up for good there's no room for him. Texier is gone when Neighbours gets back as it is.

Neighbours is still a ways away from coming back though. More things will likely happen between now and then.

Clearly the team wants to keep him around

Yeah, I'm assuming he'll be with the Blues shortly unless he looks like absolute trash in Springfield.

Welp... Same issues still there.

We got away with it last season with the new coach bump but the inconsistency and apathy is back.

It's time to weed out the cancers.

Changes are coming. A few less line changes might be nice though.

I think it's important to move on from this core before these next wave of prospects continue to arrive. You don't want them showing up into a losing culture and locker room and falling into those bad habits thinking this is just the way it is. You become Buffalo at that point.

I'm sure management knows who those players are. I wish we did. ;)
