;)
The Canes find a way to lose to inferior teams in the playoffs every year for the past 8 or so, but their path has never been more wide open.

He's in a good spot in Anaheim having a young ascending team. Needs 232 wins to catch Scotty Bowman for all time wins. He's going to come close.
I think the Ducks have taken advantage of a golden opportunity this season. They looked like they were in a great position long term with their collection of young talent, but they have really capitalized on the teams at the top of the division taking a step back this year. Vegas and Edmonton aren't anywhere near where they've been the last few years, and LA was a loser point fraud all season. They're the only playoff team in the Pacific that is on the upswing, and it sure helps that they seem to have a goalie to go along with all their young talented skaters. They'll probably get smoked by the Avs if they beat Vegas, but that might happen to everyone else the Avs face anyway.

Can I interest you in a Colton Parayko deal, Mr Grier?
you spelled Kyrou incorrectly
They are desperate for defense, specifically right handed D which is why I mentioned Parayko. But in reality it would more likely be Jiricek involved.

The quite controversial Dube with the winner

Ott might get scooped up for an NHL head coaching job before the next series starts.
38 points behind??? wow, that is an incredible run. and clearly ott wasn't the problem here.

watched the canes/flyers game last night. philly looks like absolute shit. no idea what happened to the team i watched in the first round. they look awful. zero chance they win four in a row against that team, they're cooked. so yes, now all my hopes are on buffalo. i'd love to see them win, after they were robbed of a legit shot at the Cup against the stars decades ago.

I honestly think Philly is just playing a real contender now instead of an old, tired team that was just happy to be there. Big game in Buffalo tonight. I think the Sabres definitely have the best chance to knock off the Canes in the next round, but there's absolutely no guarantee the Habs don't win this series. A Habs win tonight would go a long way.

If the goal of him going there was to buff his HC job resume, he certainly has done it. It also helps him that he seems to be a very likable guy both player and coaches wise. Selfishly hoping he is with Springfield again next season.

the story of hughes winning gold and The Cup in the same year was attractive, and a lot of great players on the wild, but the avs are the more resilient and clutch team in the games i watched. i think the right team won. hopefully the other series goes longer and makar can get healthy (enough) to play, or they may be in trouble. not that the team hinges on one guy, but he is a huge impact player that would be missed.

crazy stat that kulak is the first player in history to play at least 25 games for three different teams in one season, and he comes up huge in a series-clinching game. his head has to be spinning from the trajectory his career has taking in the last nine months.

That is a mind blowing stat.

no game friday, then when we do get a game saturday, it's on the one network with exactly zero streaming presence. fortunately my OTA antenna picks up ABC pretty well. i was in the car driving home from st charles funny bone (seeing rich vos) for the first period, saw the last two periods. what a great fucking game, if you're a buffalo fan. complete disaster for the habs.

and we finally get an epic game 7. i'm sure it will be streaming on all the available platforms, right? nope, just ESPN. what a fucking clown shoe league.
